Student Rabbi

Student Rabbi Simage_of_Samam Stern

Sam is a student at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, where he is studying to become a Rabbi. Sam has a bachelor’s degree in history and Jewish studies from Towson University, and a master’s degree in Jewish communal service from the Baltimore Hebrew Institute. Before attending HUC, he worked as a youth professional for 6 years which included three years as the Director of Youth Engagement at Temple Beth-El in San Antonio. When not devoting himself to study, he can be found cheering on his favorite sports teams such as the Washington Nationals! Sam is excited to share his passions for teaching and prayer with Congregation Brith Sholem this year as the Student Rabbi

Our student rabbi, Sam Stern, visits Brith Sholem roughly once a month for a weekend of worship, learning, and other activities. If you would like to set up a time to meet with Rabbi Sam, please contact him at:  rabbi@brithsholem.org
