Like Blanche DuBois in “A Streetcar Named Desire,” Congregation Brith Sholem has always relied on the kindness (and generosity) of strangers, as well as its own members. Our programming is paid for in part by member dues, but there is always a financial gap that we need to bridge with donations and fundraising activities. We hold various fundraising events during the year, and we are enrolled in a Scrip program.
Donations: Individuals commonly make donations in honor of an event or in memory of a loved one, for example, on the yahrzeit of a parent. Checks may be sent to Brith Sholem at P.O. Box 9741, Ogden, UT 84409. Please specify the fund to which you wish your contribution to be added:
- Children’s Education
- Adult Education
- Prayer Books
If no specific fund is named, the donation will go towards general operations.
What Is Scrip?
Scrip is a term that means “substitute money”. When you purchase scrip, you’re purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for our organization
